HERMENEUTIKA KONTEKSTUALHADIS AHKAM MUAMALAH UNTUK PENGUATANETIKA SOSIAL DIGITAL
Abstract
This research seeks to explore the relevance of Hadith Ahkam
Muamalah as both a conceptual framework and a moral basis for
the development of Islamic social ethics education in the digital
age. The study is driven by increasing ethical challenges in digital
interactions, including the spread of hate speech, misinformation,
and the decline of social responsibility within online
environments. Employing a qualitative design, the research utilizes
a library research method grounded in contextual hermeneutics to
interpret hadith texts in relation to contemporary social
conditions. Data were obtained through an in-depth review of
primary and secondary literature published between 2020 and
2025, complemented by empirical validation through Focus
Group Discussions (FGD) involving ten Islamic Education (PAI)
teachers from two secondary-level institutions; SMP Plus and MAS
Darus Sholah Jember, under a single Islamic education
foundation. The results demonstrate that Hadith Ahkam
Muamalah embodies universal ethical principles, including
trustworthiness, honesty, justice, social responsibility, and
benevolence (ihsan), which can function as a moral compass for
behavior in digital spaces. Hermeneutic analysis highlights four
foundational principles of Islamic digital ethics: (1) trust and
honesty in the dissemination of information; (2) justice in online
interactions; (3) social responsibility in digital communication
practices; and (4) benevolence and empathy in virtual engagement.
